Hip Hop Pop's bi-annual 'big show' is here and there’s only a short window to register your interest or audition!

Our 'big show's' are original pieces of street dance theatre, completely separate to our dance school classes and Showcases. Our last 'big show' in 2024, Shadows, was unforgettable – and we’re ready to create something just as special again.

We're looking for passionate dancers, with street dance skills ready to throw themselves into a brand new show.

As always, we’re keeping the theme under wraps for now… but expect another signature Hip Hop Pop full-scale production.

The Show:
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October 2026

Shows at 3pm and 7pm

At Harlow Playhouse Theatre

(Age 8 to17 Ensemble will perform in 2 of the 4 shows

Characters, Lead Dancers & age 18+ ensemble will perform in all 4 shows)

Production Week:
Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd October 2026 (evenings after 4pm)

What parts are available?
Ensemble Dancers: Energetic and passionate dancers age 8 to adult
(must be age 8 by 24th October 2026 to take part)
Lead Dancers and Character roles: available for advanced level dancers aged 14 to adults - read more below for criteria.

Rehearsals:
Rehearsals begin soon, so registering ASAP is essential!
• Characters & Lead Dancers: rehearsals begin in April
• Adult & Teen Ensemble: rehearsals begin in May
• Youngest Ensemble: rehearsals begin June/July

How to register your interest:

If you’re a HHP member, you do NOT need to audition – we already know your talent! However, you MUST register your interest by the deadline. You will be guaranteed a place in the show, but specific roles will be assigned to you based on the production’s needs at our discretion.

If you’re not currently a HHP member, you can audition by submitting a 1-minute freestyle/street dance video to jenny@hiphoppop.net, along with completing the registration form before the deadline.

Important Notes:
⚠️ This is NOT a dance school show. It is completely separate from the school and class structure. This is a full production by Hip Hop Pop as a production company – not linked to what classes you attend. Although we would love to see as many dancers that train with us at the school in it as possible!

⚠️ Rehearsals can be intense, full commitment is compulsory. There’s a lot to learn, this is not like our annual school Showcase, you will not be learning routines in classes or having a leader on stage to follow, so you must be able to commit to all rehearsals and be fully comfortable and confident preforming without a leader on stage. But… the experience is truly unforgettable. We’re looking for dancers ready to bring energy, passion, and all of the above.

Details Of Parts Available
• Characters (16+ only)
• Lead Dancers (14+)
• Ensemble (Ages 8–12, 13–17, 18+)

Characters (age 16+ to adults)
Characters will feature in 8–12 numbers in the show
Criteria: Advanced level dancers, who can own a stage on their own, captivate an audience, and deliver storytelling through dance with buckets of charisma, with clarity, facial expressions and dynamics

Characters rehearsals, starting April 2026:
• Some Mondays 7–10pm
• Some Fridays 7–10pm
• Some Sundays 9am–4pm (or part of)
• Possible additional 1–2–1 sessions

You must be available for all those days/times of week, only holiday given dates in advance the initial form will be OK to miss, NONE after that, you must then attend ALL you are called for. You will also be required to attend technical rehearsals between 21st-23rd of October, and of course the shows on 24th and 25th of October.

Should you be assigned one of these parts in the show, the cost to participate will be £129, which includes all rehearsal fees, a show t-shirt, photos of the show and a video of show. Participation fees can be paid over 3 instalments. As always tickets will be sold separately for friends and family to attend, at approx. £22 per ticket, in line with our usual full production ticket prices.

Lead Dancers (age 14+ to adults)
Lead Dancers will feature in 8–12 numbers in the show
Criteria: Advanced level dancers, who can deliver storytelling through facial expression and movement

Lead Dancers rehearsals, starting April 2026:
• Some Mondays 7–10pm
• Some Fridays 7–10pm
• Some Sundays 9am–4pm (or part of)

You must be available for all those days/times of week, only holiday given dates in advance the initial form will be OK to miss, NONE after that, you must then attend ALL you are called for.
