At Hip Hop Pop Ltd, we are proud to celebrate the people who go above and beyond to inspire, support, and uplift our young dancers. Today, we shine a spotlight on Amelia, our latest recipient of the prestigious Leader Award from the Jack Petchey Foundation.
Recognising Outstanding Leadership
The Jack Petchey Foundation Leader Awards are designed to honour the incredible adults and volunteers who dedicate their time to working with young people. These awards are especially meaningful because they come from the voices of the community—young people and organisers saying a heartfelt “thank you.”
Amelia was chosen for this award in recognition of her exceptional contribution to Hip Hop Pop as a volunteer Class Assistant. Her commitment, energy, and passion have made a lasting impact on both students and staff alike.
A Role Model in Every Sense
Amelia supports classes twice a week with unwavering dedication. She brings a vibrant energy to every session—creating an environment that is both welcoming and inspiring.
Her impact can be seen in many ways:
Supporting students one-to-one and in groups
Delivering fun, engaging warm-ups that dancers love
Volunteering extra time for additional projects and activities
Sharing creative ideas to enhance sessions
Acting as a positive and inspiring role model
She is widely respected and appreciated across the entire Hip Hop Pop community, not only for her talent as a dancer but also for her kindness, enthusiasm, and leadership.
A Legacy of Support
We’ve been fortunate to work with the Jack Petchey Foundation for many years. Their ongoing support has allowed us to celebrate young achievers aged 11–25, as well as dedicated leaders like Amelia. Each award also brings funding that helps us invest back into our dance community—supporting new projects, opportunities, and resources for our young people.
As part of her award, Amelia will also play a key role in deciding how this funding is used—continuing her positive influence on the future of Hip Hop Pop.
Looking Ahead
Amelia will be officially recognised at the upcoming awards ceremony on 1st July 2026 at the Harlow Playhouse, where she will receive her certificate and medallion on stage—a moment we’re all excited to celebrate together.
Congratulations, Amelia!
Here’s to Amelia—a well-deserved Leader Award winner and an inspiration to us all. 💫
