This Easter, we brought something truly special to Passmores Academy on the 8th and 9th of April, as Hip Hop Pop welcomed five phenomenal guest tutors to lead a two-day series of workshops that left students of all ages and levels buzzing with energy, confidence, and inspiration.
The event was a true celebration of dance and learning, giving our students—ranging from age 6 to adult—a fabulous opportunity to train with some of the UK street dance scene’s finest. Each guest shared not just their choreographic brilliance, but also their personal experiences, foundational vocabulary, performance techniques, and career insights—gifts that are just as valuable as the moves themselves.
Here’s a look at the brilliant tutors who made the event unforgettable:
Ebony Clarke, an original Hip Hop Pop student and now one of the most in-demand creative choreographers in the UK industry, led two workshops over the two days. With a long list of TV, stage, and commercial credits—and a recent Best Pantomime Trophy win under her belt—Ebony inspired our dancers with her dynamic teaching and incredible energy.

Kayleigh Dettmer – An industry legend and UK creative, Kayleigh brought her vibrant style and fierce technique to the studio. A regular teacher at both BASE Studios and Pineapple Dance Studios, Kayleigh gave our students a masterclass in movement, discipline, and performance.

Alisha Margetson – Specialising in Afro Hip-Hop Fusion, a performer and choreographer for artists around the globe, her ability to blend culture, energy, and storytelling through movement was nothing short of inspiring.

Anna Maria Barker – A highly sought-after performer and choreographer, Anna Maria is making waves in the UK dance scene. Her workshop combined style and foundation with artistry and stage presence.

Oskarina O’Sullivan – An incredible creative force associated with reputable hip-hop groups,Oska brought her signature blend of hip-hop and theatrical flair to the studio. Her session gave dancers authentic training full of vibes!

The music throughout the weekend reflected the richness of the sessions—throwback classics, fresh new tracks, and a wide range of genres all came together to create an energetic, feel-good vibe that had dancers moving with purpose and joy.
The feedback from students and families has been incredible. The impact these sessions had—on confidence, technique, and mindset—was clear to see. We couldn’t be prouder of everyone who stepped into the studio and gave it their all.
A huge thank you to our amazing tutors, and to our Hip Hop Pop students and families for making this Easter one to remember. We can’t wait to bring more experiences like this to you soon!
Stay dancing, stay inspired,
Team Hip-Hop Pop
