Summer holidays may be coming to an end, but at Hip Hop Pop, we’re planning to finish it in spectacular style!

Hip Hop Pop are Performing at Harlow Town Show

We’re incredibly excited to be part of the Harlow Town Show at Harlow Town Park on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August, with Hip Hop Pop dancers appearing throughout the weekend.

From performances and workshops in the Big Top to pop-up dances, a very unusual performance involving a carousel(!), and a special collaboration celebrating the dance talent of our town, there will be plenty of opportunities to come along, spot the Hip Hop Pop team and give us a cheer.

And once the weekend is over, there’s even more to look forward to, as our regular weekly classes return from 1st September!

🎪 Catch Hip Hop Pop in the Big Top

We’ll be taking to the Big Top twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday.

Each session will feature a 10-minute performance from members of some of our advanced classes, followed by a 20-minute fun dance workshop with Hip Hop Pop team member Alisha.

❤️ Something Very Special: The United Dance

We’re particularly proud of something very special happening at this year’s Town Show.

Through an initiative from Hip Hop Pop, and with the support of some of the Harlow Town Show organisers, we’re bringing together a handful of dance groups and individual dancers who have very recently taken part in Celebrate Harlow for a one-off outdoor performance we’re calling The United Dance.

At the Harlow Playhouse in recent years, these groups and dancers have performed alongside one another and shared the same stage at Celebrate Harlow. But we’ve never before come together to create one singular piece.

Until now.

Dance has an amazing ability to bring people together. At Hip Hop Pop, it has always been important to us to communicate that dance is for everyone. Whatever our individual dance styles, we share a common love of dance – and a love for our town and community.

The United Dance is our opportunity to celebrate that.

This special performance brings together some of the groups and dancers who regularly participate in Celebrate Harlow to unite their talents in one piece created especially for the occasion.

The United Dance – One Performance Only

It really is a one-time-only performance, so please come along, gather around the arena and cheer everyone on!

💥 Look Out for Hip Hop Pop Around the Town Show!

Our involvement doesn’t stop there!

We’re delighted to have been commissioned to provide additional entertainment around the site throughout the weekend – and we can’t wait.

Welcome Area Performances

Keep an eye out for a team of six HHP dancers performing around the Welcome Area.

There will be four performances on Saturday and four performances on Sunday, so you’ll have several chances to catch them throughout the weekend.

We’ll share the performance times on our social media pages, so keep an eye on them for the latest details.

Surprise Pop-Up Performances

You might also find yourself in the right place at the right time for one of our pop-up trio performances!

These will happen twice each day in different locations around the Town Show site. We’ll share timings through our social media, but part of the fun is spotting where our dancers might pop up next.

🎠 Yes… We’re Dancing at the Carousel!

Now, this is something we never thought we’d be saying…

There are horses involved in one of our routines!

We’ll be giving a very special performance at the carousel at approximately:

These timings are approximate and the performances themselves will be short and sharp, so we recommend arriving a little early if you’d like to catch them from the beginning.

We’d absolutely love to see our members, families, friends and supporters across the weekend. Whether you catch us in the Big Top, cheer on The United Dance, spot a pop-up performance or simply come over to say hello, your support means a great deal to our dancers and team.

Hip Hop Pop is incredibly proud to be part of this special event for Harlow. We’ve been supporting Harlow community events for the last two decades, and we’re very excited to play our part in another fantastic weekend for our town.

And Then… We’re Back to Classes!

After an action-packed weekend, it’ll be time to head back to where so much of the magic begins – the studio!

Our regular weekly Hip Hop Pop classes return from Tuesday 1st September, and we cannot wait to welcome everybody back.

We hope all our students and families have had a brilliant summer break, enjoyed some time to recharge and are feeling ready for a brand-new term.

There’ll be new things to learn, fresh routines, exciting lessons and plenty to work towards as we head into the next part of the year.

And there’s already something rather exciting on the horizon…

This winter, we’ll begin talking about our next Hip Hop Pop Showcase, including how students aged 6+ can get involved.
