Big Thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation – New Lighting Kit, Endless Possibilities!
We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to tutor Mikaela winning a Jack Petchey Foundation Leader Award, we’ve been awarded a special grant that’s helped us level up our video production in a big way!
The grant has allowed us to invest in a brilliant set of professional lighting equipment – and we’re already seeing the incredible impact it’s having. From vibrant, colour-changing lights to mood-setting, dramatic tones, this kit gives us the freedom to create an endless variety of styles and visual effects. Indoors, outdoors, day or night – we can now shoot anywhere, anytime! What an experience for the students!
What’s even better? The lights are battery-operated, so we’ve got full flexibility for outdoor night shoots, and with Bluetooth control, we can adjust the lighting quickly and easily on the go. Whether we’re switching colours, changing the atmosphere, or experimenting with different placements, this new kit has opened up a whole new world of creative possibilities.

The battery-powered lights sound perfect for those outdoor night shoots. I checked out Meowdoku after reading about your 13 finished videos, and the quality really shows the new kit is working well. Congrats to Mikaela for winning that award.
What a fantastic upgrade for the students! Having flexible lighting like this must make a huge difference when experimenting with different styles. It’s amazing how tools like these can open up so many creative possibilities, especially when learning video production and even exploring facebook accounts for marketing.
Love how the battery-operated lights let them shoot outdoors at night-super creative for a dance school! I've also been using Luna Lisa as an ai image generator lately, and it's surprisingly good for text-to-image work.
Most username tools generate names that sound generic, but this name generator seems to mix words more naturally. Some of the results are actually memorable.
