Where do we even begin?
After weeks of planning, then rehearsals and getting excited about everything we had lined up, Harlow Town Show finally arrived — and what an incredible weekend it turned out to be.
We went into the weekend knowing it was going to be a busy one for Hip Hop Pop. Our dancers were performing in the Big Top, taking part in pop-up performances around the Town Park, dancing at the carousel, welcoming visitors, joining together with other local dancers for the United Dance and even squeezing in some extra last-minute performances in the Arena.
But what we couldn't have fully anticipated was just how special the whole weekend would feel.
As Director of Hip Hop Pop, I came away feeling genuinely overwhelmed with pride and joy — not only for everything our dancers and team delivered, but to be part of such an amazing event for our town.

🎪 Taking Over the Big Top!
Across Saturday and Sunday, our Hip Hop Pop dancers took to the Big Top for four performances — and they absolutely smashed every one.
Members of our advanced classes performed a selection of routines before Alisha got the audience up on their feet for our Hip Hop Pop dance workshops.
There is always something special about watching our dancers perform to a crowd, but seeing so many people stopping to watch, cheer them on and then getting involved themselves made these sessions even more fun.
A huge WELL DONE to every dancer who performed. You represented Hip Hop Pop brilliantly and we couldn't have been prouder of you.
❤️ The United Dance – Harlow's Dancers Coming Together
One of the moments we were most excited about before the Town Show was the United Dance.
This was an idea very close to our hearts: bringing together dancers and dance schools who have previously shared the stage at Celebrate Harlow and, instead of performing separately, creating one performance together.
And seeing it actually happen in the Arena was incredibly special.
Different dancers. Different schools. Different styles.
One shared love of dance and one shared connection to Harlow.
Thank you so much to every dancer, teacher and school who joined forces with us and helped make the United Dance happen.
At Hip Hop Pop, we've always believed that dance has the power to bring people together, and this felt like a perfect example of that.

💥 Dancing All Over Harlow Town Park
Six of our Hip Hop Pop dancers had an extra special role across the weekend after being commissioned by Harlow Council to provide entertainment around the Town Show.
And they were BUSY!

From welcoming people as they arrived to surprise pop-up performances around the site, these six barely stopped dancing all weekend.
They performed in sunshine.
They performed in rain.
They got absolutely SOAKED.
And they STILL kept smiling, dancing and bringing joy to the people around them.
They were an absolute pleasure to be around throughout the whole weekend, and we are incredibly proud of the professionalism, energy and positivity they showed.
🎠 Yes… We Really Did Dance on a Carousel!
We said in our pre-Town Show blog that this was something we never imagined we'd be saying… And now we can officially say: Hip Hop Pop danced on a carousel!
This was definitely one of the more unusual performance locations we've ever had!
Our dancers embraced it completely and created another brilliant moment for visitors to the Town Show.
Sometimes the most memorable performances are the ones that happen somewhere you would never normally expect to see dancers — and we think this one will stay with us for quite some time!
🎉 And Then There Were the Surprise Performances…
As if our dancers hadn't already done enough, the weekend brought some unexpected extra opportunities too!
We were delighted to squeeze in some additional last-minute performances in the Arena.
One of the things we love about our dancers is their ability to step up, adapt and just GO FOR IT when an opportunity comes their way.
So, of course, they did exactly that.
Countless performances across one weekend, in all sorts of locations and conditions — what a team. ❤️
👋 Behind the Scenes at the Arts Tent
While our dancers were busy performing around the park, our wonderful Front of House team were holding the fort at our information stall in the Arts Tent.
Thank you to everyone who came over to say hello, find out more about Hip Hop Pop or simply tell us they'd spotted one of our performances!
And a huge thank you to our Front of House team for representing HHP throughout the weekend.
Events like this take a whole team of people, both in front of and behind the scenes, and we're very lucky to have such a brilliant one.

❤️ Thank You to Everyone Who Cheered Us On
Another enormous thank you has to go to our Hip Hop Pop families, friends and supporters.
We saw so many familiar faces following our dancers around the Town Show, waiting for performances, cheering loudly and supporting everything we were involved in.
It means more than you probably realise.
For our dancers — particularly our younger performers — looking out into a crowd and seeing those familiar faces makes these experiences even more special.
Thank you for being there.

🌟 Congratulations, Harlow!
Most of all, we want to say a MASSIVE thank you and congratulations to Harlow Council and everyone involved in bringing the Harlow Town Show to life.
What an achievement.
It was wonderful to see Harlow Town Park filled with entertainment, performances and people enjoying themselves together. There were so many people working behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly, and we know just how much work goes into producing an event on this scale.
Special thanks from us to Rory Davies and Emma Crouch, and to Dan Swords for leading such a poignant moment for Harlow during the weekend.
We also want to thank Benny P, Leo Shepherd, Harry, Jonathan, Kealey and the GS Guards team, Akvile, Will Deady, Tom Sadler and the many, many other people we worked alongside across the weekend.
There are far too many people involved in something of this size for us to name everybody, but please know that your hard work was noticed and appreciated.
And huge congratulations to Daniel Bell and Kat at KD Theatre for producing the beautiful West End Night show. What a perfect way to bring an unforgettable weekend to a close. ✨
❤️ What a Weekend. What a Team. What a Town.
Personally, I don't think I'll forget this weekend for a very long time.

Watching our dancers perform again and again; seeing different parts of Harlow's dance community come together; watching our team adapt to rain, last-minute changes and unexpected opportunities; seeing families cheering from the sidelines; and being surrounded by so many people who care about our town was genuinely emotional.
The joy and pride of it all brings a tear to my eye.
To everyone who performed, organised, supported, volunteered, planned, problem-solved or worked behind the scenes — THANK YOU.
And to every single person at Hip Hop Pop who played a part in the weekend, whether you danced, worked, supported, cheered or helped make it happen…
I couldn't be prouder.
What a weekend.
What a team.
What a town. ❤️
