Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme Winners this term at Hip Hop Pop celebrate virtually

Congratulations are in order are in order for 3 Hip Hop Pop students who are our latest Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards Scheme winners

The Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme (which Hip Hop are gold members of) allow us to award 9 students (aged 11 to 25) each year for their personal achievements. In return, the Jack Petchey Foundation funds some of the activities, trips, equipment and more at Hip Hop Pop that benefit the young people at the dance school (aged 11-25). We are excited to announce the final 3, of the 9 winners of these awards for the year 2020:

Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme Winner:

FREDDIE GOULD - Age 11

“Freddie has been a member for over 4 years, since the day he joined he's been such a hard worker, goes for the moves 100%, and gets the most out of every moment. He's proved himself to be a great role model for his peers, polite, friendly and extremely hard working. Freddie's name has come up a couple of times before, but he's never been in the age bracket for achievement awards, but he turned 11 in July, so we're all excited to be awarding role model student - Freddie.”

Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme Winner:

LILY STANLEY - Age 11

“Lily, has not only shown resilience and strength through both lockdowns by coming to dance online at every given opportunity, she has shown a clear improvement in her ability to pick up new moves, in particular new foot work. Lily's combination of hard work and great attitude towards learning sets an inspiring example for her peers.”

Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme Winner:

ZAIN ELMASRY - Age 11

“Zain's performance level has made a big improvement over the last 2 months. The power and energy he's now applying to all his moves have not gone unnoticed. Zain applies himself 100% to every lesson whether online or in person and pushes hard to learn and perform his best regardless of where the lesson or workshop is held. A great example of adaptability and resilience.

Thanks to these incredible winners, the Jack Petchey Foundation funded a combination of guest tutors for additional sessions through lockdown, new equipment for our return to the studio and resources to help educate our young people. Thank you JPF from all of us at Hip Hop Pop!
