Yep you heard right, workshops are completely FREE! Read on to find out who can take part and how.
Breaking (more commonly known as break dancing), is one of the elements of hip hop culture and is now also known as a sport in its own right, as the 2024 Olympics will see BBoys and BGirls compete for medals. So what better time than now to bush up on your knowledge and skills?
Thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation grant and Leader Award winner Scott Sinclair, workshops will be FREE for participants, but hurry to secure your space as places are first-come-first-served.
Who is teaching the workshops?
A good friend of mine, talented breaker and fellow top 5% street dance teacher Thom Jones from Southampton will be travelling to Harlow to share his knowledge and skills with you.
Thom is a Street styles teacher, with a love for all things Breaking! Teaching the next generation of BBoys and BGirls the foundations, variations and habits needed to smash their expectations and amaze themselves is what gets him out of bed.
In his classes, he aims to strip away the fear people feel when they begin dancing on the floor, leaving the students feeling safe, empowered and jam-packed with knowledge. He can’t wait to share a studio with you!
What will you learn at the workshops?
Lot's of the foundation of breaking, including top rocks, godowns, floor work and footwork all broken down into achievable portions with assistance from Thom.
A little history of breaking.
How to connect the skills you learn.
Technique knowledge to take away to allow you to continue to practice/learn even after the workshop is done.
All the above whilst in the safety of a small group, building your confidence working with others.
When are the workshops?

Detailed and practical, this guide explains concrete rebar in a way that feels approachable without
oversimplifying. The step by step clarity is especially useful for readers new to the subject. I recently came across a construction related explanation on https://hurenberlin.com that offered a similar level of clarity, and this article fits right in with that quality. Great resource. explanation feels practical for everyday rauhaneusers. I checked recommended tools on https://www.eljnoub.com

It’s honestly a game changer for me, especially using it with SoFlo Wheelie Life to stay organized across all my devices.
